Sun prints: bookmarks created with plants and sun-reactive dyes
Treat yourself or a friend to one-of-a-kind bookmarks to use in your favorite books! I offer regular and magnetic bookmarks. The magnetic ones will stay put even if your book is held upside down! They are especially useful to mark your favorite recipes in a cookbook or insert in different sections of your journals or sketchbooks to keep them organized.
I first create a pattern with dried flowers and leaves on pieces of paper painted with sun-reactive dies, then expose them under the sun. Once the prints are ready, I enhance them with black and gold ink, before cropping and turning them into bookmarks ready to use or gift to a book lover.
